About Carrie Green (in Carrie’s words)

In 2005 I was 19 and studying Law at the University of Birmingham. I knew nothing about business, although I always thought I’d end up doing my own thing – as opposed to working for someone else, I just didn’t realise that I’d end up doing my own thing so soon. Since then I graduated with a degree in Law, I started 2 businesses, I went to night school to learn about web development, I travelled around Thailand and Australia, I had my videos viewed half a million times on YouTube, I had my website viewed by over 5 million people, I became financially free. However, there are a few things I’ve come to realise about being an entrepreneur… it’s harder than it first seems, it’s a lonely journey, but when you finally turn ideas into reality it’s incredible and I wouldn’t change it for the world! I have had my fair share of ups and downs. I started off with nothing, but an idea, a credit card and a marketing budget of £30 per day and I have turned it into a successful, global business. Has it been easy? No, but if I can do it, then anyone can. I think the secret to success is having the right mindset. You’ve got to believe you can do it, even when things seem impossible. I started the Female Entrepreneur Association in 2011 as a way to connect with like-minded women from all over the world and find out how they keep motivated, how they overcome challenges, what things they’ve learnt along the way. I love it. I will be blogging about my journey as an entrepreneur, things that inspire me and tips & tricks that help me grow my business. I hope you enjoy reading and watching! (Source)

About The Grateful Showcase

For the month of November on Random Ramblings, Samm will be sharing four individuals from her Mental Advisory Board. This concept of a Mental Advisory Board is only made possible by the evolution of the Internet. The power of the Internet has made it possible for anyone to connect. Not only can we connect with them regardless of how close or far they are, but we can connect with them in a way that we feel like we truly know them. To Samm, it’s almost like the Pop Star Craze that she went through in the late 90s/early 2000s, where we had the ability primarily through TV and Magazines to feel like we knew these individuals. She felt like she is the one Pop Star X should marry because she knew she was the perfect girl for him. Media allowed us to develop essentially these intimate one-sided relationships. Now, let us be clear that does not mean she wants to marry these individuals she will be sharing. However, she has developed what feels to almost be a very close one-sided relationship. She says one-sided, because they don’t know her and possibly don’t even know exists, yet she has a massive amount of trust in each of them. Samm can confidently say that they provide an enormous amount of value to her professionally and personally. Therefore, first off let’s say thank you to the powerful mediums of blogs, podcasts and video – that made the entire Mental Advisory Board possible.
